AriVibes is designed to transform everyday sounds into engaging musical experiences. By tapping on an object while holding an iPhone nearby, users can capture the sounds and modify them in real-time, resulting in a more percussive audio output through headphones or speakers.

The application utilizes the device’s touch screen and accelerometer to adjust various parameters that shape different percussive sounds. These parameters can be manipulated in real time, allowing for expressive sound effects that enhance user creativity.

The app employs the device's microphone for sound capture and facilitates real-time sound manipulation. This feature enables users to produce captivating percussive sounds simply by tapping surfaces like a table or slapping a chair to mimic instruments such as a mandolin. Users can explore the auditory potential of their environment, using any available objects to create unique rhythms. Additionally, the on-board looper enables users to build grooves using whatever they have on hand. Performances can be recorded and exported as WAV files via iTunes.
